...nitrous: i don't know why!

.....i don't know why. I tried nitrous at least two dozen times over the years, and i've NEVER gotten the slightest buzz, even with a large balloon.
Is it possible to be immune to it? I've been in all manner of states of mind while trying it, including totally straight...but nothing ever happened! Weird!

it's all in your breathing.
You have to induce hyperventilation/asphyxia for it to work off a balloon.

also, make sure you set up some kind of filter for that stuff. Me and a good friend had a slight binge over the course of a couple months. recently read in erowids magazine that the gas is full of grease, dirt, and small shavings of metal that gets mixed in during the containment process at the factory. That's what happens when you don't have medical grade inhalants. Erowid suggests using a t-shirt to filter it. I just generally stay away from it now.

i usually only get a good effect when i'm on another drug. otherwise its mostly asphyxiation and a weird yappy noise in my ear, not worth it.

outrageously fun, but doesn't last long... the most annoying part is the blank parts; they are hard to even notice, but I've experienced a complete lack of memory- well, either that or it can teleport you - choose your theory, I'd gamble against the teleportation myself. so, there is no assurance that if it worked that you'd remember it- which is sorta what it is supposed to do in a medical setting anyways.

I don't really do nitrous anymore, unless I am a little stoned or drunk, chillin out, and someone drags out a whippit. It gives me a bit of a rush of mellow, and makes me talk like Darth Vader ("Together we can rule the Galaxy, as father and son"). I am not a big fan of the asphyxiation part though. If I lose any more brain cells, I may go into deficit!
